Up in the cloudy stratosphere, gravity is weaker when you're near, my dear

DSCN0278

Just recently I bought this bracelet to celebrate the one year adversary of my graduation (phew, time has flown!). I really like the idea of one staple jewelry to wear everyday like a sort of lucky charm but I guess it would be quite boring wearing the same earrings or necklace day after day - with bracelets it's quite a different thing! In real life the pendants don't look so big by the way, the perspective is quite misleading. Do you have a specific accessory that you wear regularly, dear reader?

Strawberry fields forever

DSCN0270

Today we went strawberry picking and now we have baskets full of juicy sweet strawberry waiting to be turned into jam, strawberry cakes and other delicious things.

I've been meaning to post an outfit picture but I've quite forgotten how difficult it is using the self- timer and finding a nice background - I'll work on it, promise!

third eye

May I say how proud I am to present "Henry" to you? He arrived yesterday in a little box and I cannot say how thrilled I was to take him out to see his new home. It was simply love at the first sight when I picked him up at a camera store between all the other waiting cameras... there was just one not so tiny problem: He was twice the price that I had intended to fork out. Oh well, some time of saving up and reading innumerable pages on geeky camera message- boards on the pros and cons compared to the Canon s95 later, I was still convinced that I wanted him and you can guess the rest. Hopefully, he'll help me take many nice photos!

I've actually sketched several versions of this post on bits of paper (when I should've been sleeping I might add) as the blogspot writing editor has the strange ability to freeze my brain when I try to start typing - hands raised expectantly but no words coming whatsoever...
Please generously ignore the fact that I have failed to live up to the blog's title last week (and just the second week of blogging, too! Oh dear) as I was Internet- less for most of it. I guess I should rename it "Once/Twice/Whenever a week".
So I was reflecting that I simply stumbled into the blogosphere without introducing myself properly and I was therefore going to write things about me being a psychology student, about my love for English (by now probably everyone guessed correctly that I'm not a native speaker but studied it at school) and some favourite things of mine (cats, chocolate, sewing machines etc.) but it just didn't come out right.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm just one more blogging girl taking photos of cutesy puffy dandelions, cracked tea cups, vintage dresses, posing for somewhat narcissistic outfit posts and further defined by a love for cats, typewriters and granny boots - how cliché, you might think now, just what was missing from the blogosphere.
Oh well, you might be painfully right, dear critical reader - but I still think it is rather intriguing finding the individual in the stereotypical and being able to create a different version of yourself even if it seems a little prettified and retouched - or to speak with "Tokyo Police Club" :

"A tiny kingdom at the bottom of the trees
Where I was always a winner and I was usually right"
